The xNet workspace

Write documents, organise projects, and collect sources in one local-first workspace. The desktop app and browser demo are available in alpha.

01

Documents

Documents hold your notes, drafts, and plans. The local copy lives on your device, so a lost connection doesn’t have to interrupt your train of thought.

02

Databases and canvases

Databases bring structure to projects and collections. Canvases give you room to arrange the pieces and work through how they fit together.

03

Personal library · Desktop

The desktop library brings saved links and imported sources into your workspace. Add your own context, search your collection, and explore connections between the things you saved.

04

Export and backups

Export your workspace in an open .xnetpack bundle. Keep your own backups while the alpha evolves, and choose whether to run a hub for sync.

Desktop or browser?

The desktop app is the fuller experience, including the personal library. The browser demo lets you try the workspace with a passkey. Its hosted demo backups are limited to 10 MB and expire after 24 hours of inactivity; keep an export of anything you want to save.

How finished is it?

xNet is alpha software. The app and packages ship today, but interfaces and data formats can change. It’s a good time to explore and give feedback. Keep backups you control.

Do I need AI or a cloud account?

No. Core editing works locally. Agent tools and hosting are separate options; the more integrated AI experience is still being developed.

What about my phone?

There is an Expo-based developer demo. It does not yet offer the full desktop experience. See the mobile demo.
